What is Syndicate of Vigilantes?
Syndicate of Vigilantes is the first Web3-based AR game that combines digital ownership with first-person shooter elements, creating a unique and engaging gaming experience in the real world with an unmatched blend of action and incentives.
SoV consists of two different game modes:
The Gun Range
We built the first Augmented Reality First-Person Shooter Gun Range; with real-scale targets, weapon handling, rankings and leaderboards, this shoot-anywhere immersion turns everybody’s phone into a portable Gun Range.
The Rite of Passage
Players get a first glance of the unique game experience we are building in stealth. The Rite of Passage is available, but needs to be considered in Early Access Mode, maybe containing bugs or flaws.
A Player will step into the role of a Vigilante, tasked with recovering ancient artifacts through a series of time-sensitive missions. Navigating this high-stakes environment involves confronting hostile drones and competing Vigilantes who threaten success. Every decision shapes the journey and legacy while aiding the Syndicate in its quest to restore light to a world on the brink of darkness.

Is the game free-to-play, and can I earn rewards?
Yes, Syndicate of Vigilantes is (and will always be) free to play. Players can earn rewards and own in-game assets in multiple ways.
What's with the Reward Videos in the game?
We want players to have fun and play the game, but building and maintaining a game is expensive.
We show you Reward Videos to bring in some revenue to the company just to make sure Syndicate of Vigilantes stays alive.
(As long as we succeed, we will fight to ensure that the game does not have to integrate mandatory ads.)
Does Syndicate of Vigilantes have a token?

GAMEPLAY
The Gun Range
Difference between Leaderboard and Practice mode
The Gun Range provides multiple game modes:
The leaderboard mode is based on health (HP).
You need to shoot all drones and static targets before the drones kill you. Every level your health will be reset, but more enemies will try to kill you. You will earn Range Points and Red Rubies which you can use to upgrade your weapons to become even better in defeating the enemies.
Practice mode is based on time.
You need to shoot all drones and static targets before time runs out. Every level your time will be reset. Playing in practice mode is easier then the Leaderboard so you will only get 10% of the Range Points and Red Rubies. Oh, and obviously your practice score will NOT be shown on the leaderboard.
What do ranks do?
You start the Gun Range in the Novice Rank. When you have collected enough Range Points, you will rise a rank.
Ranks unlock perks, such as access to better weapons.
When is a new weapon unlocked?
A specific weapon is only unlocked for you once you reach the corresponding rank.
Weapons can be purchased with red rubies, which you can earn in both leaderboard mode and practice mode (10%).
Will there be a multiplayer mode?
YES!
We are building a multiplayer mode as well, making sure you can challenge a stranger or your best friends in challenging Gun Range sessions. Estimated release: July 2026
Will there be Events and Tournaments?
YES!
Events and Tournaments will be added to the Gun Range soon!
Estimated release: July 2026
Will there be ingame purchases?
YES!
We are working on an integrated in-game marketplace, the black market, holding features that will increase your game play, like weapon upgrades, skins, health boxes.
Please note!
The relevant features are unlocked only for those who have achieved a specific rank (by collecting sufficient Gun Range points), ensuring a level playing field is maintained and preventing SoV from becoming a pay-to-win game
For our web3 players/token holders:
To bring utility to our token, the core currency for the black market will be our token $VIGI (using on/off ramping if needed). Weapon upgrades, skins etc will be NFTs that can be resold to other players (provided they hold the correct rank).
Rite of Passage
What are Artifacts?
There are eight artifacts, all with their own special powers.
The exact powers they possess will only be known to true Vigilantes that have successfully finished the Rite of Passage.
Each artifact comes in four tiers, ranging from common to legendary. Can you get them all?
More information on the artifacts can be found here.
I see a pick-up point /drop-off point but it spawned an unsafe/inaccessible location. What can I do?
If a pick-up or drop-off point is located at a unsafe or inaccessible location, move close to the point to activate AR mode on your phone. Our server will use your camera to scan the area and, after a few seconds, allow you to reposition the point to a safer, accessible spot.
Always reposition the point if it appears in an unsafe location, like a busy road, or on private property.
Unfortunately, sometimes you will not be able to get close enough to a pick-up or drop-off point to turn to AR mode. In that case, you are forced to abort the mission. Please exclude this location, so we’ll know we should not spawn pick-up or drop-offs here in the future.
What happens if I close the app during a mission?
If you close or leave the app during a mission, the mission will not be aborted, and the countdown timer will continue. The timer will count down faster than when the app is open to prevent cheating (alongside other anti-cheat measures)
I can’t find any missions in my area. How does this work and what to do?
To find missions in your area, adjust the mission range in the search mission menu from 50 to 500 meters; widening the range increases your chances of finding a mission.
We use Google and Openstreets Points of Interest (POIs) to establish your pick-up and drop-off location, so unfortunately less populated areas may have fewer missions available.
Once a mission location is selected, it won’t reappear for 10 minutes, so you may need to wait before trying again. If a mission starts at an inaccessible point, you can abort the mission by going to your missions page and there you can exclude that POI from future missions.
Technical
Why can’t I install the app on my device?
Our app requires Google ARCore, which is the official Augmented Reality framework for Android. Google Play only allows ARCore-required apps to install on devices that are:
- 64-bit, and
- Officially ARCore-certified by Google
If your device is not certified, Google Play will not allow installation. Click HERE to go to the ARCore device list that Google published.
iPhone SE (2016) and newer are all ARCore-certified.
My phone is expensive and powerful. Why is it not supported?
ARCore support is not based on hardware performance. It is based on Google certification.
If a manufacturer has not submitted that model to Google for ARCore certification (or Google has not approved it yet), the device will appear as unsupported, no matter how powerful it is. This is common on:
- Realme GT series
- Oppo phones
- Xiaomi / POCO
- iQOO / Vivo OriginOS
- Red Magic phones
Click HERE to go to the ARCore device list that Google published, to check if your phone is approved by Google.
iPhone SE (2016) and newer are all ARCore-certified.
Pokémon GO is an AR-game and worked on my phone, why does SoV does not?
Pokémon GO does not require ARCore to run. ARCore is only used for an optional mode (AR+).
If ARCore is not available, Pokémon GO simply disables AR features and continues normally.
Our app is different.
We are building a full AR experience, (including AR man-to-man battles, clan battles, military strategies etc). ARCore is required for the essential functionality of the app now and in the future. Without ARCore, the app cannot operate as intended, so Google Play only allows installation on devices that are officially ARCore-certified.
iPhone SE (2016) and newer are all ARCore-certified.
Can SoV run on unsupported devices?
NO.
Since our app’s core gameplay requires ARCore, we cannot make AR optional without redesigning the product.
Google Play automatically filters devices, and app developers cannot override ARCore restrictions.
